UW Now Livestream: Professor Wong discusses consumer behavior

Nearly every Tuesday evening since late March, the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) has hosted virtual livestream discussions of various COVID-19-related topics in a program called “UW Now,” featuring UW faculty working on the topic in their various respective fields. Hundreds of alumni have tuned in to each hour-long event, moderated by WFAA president Mike Knetter, for insights from their alma mater on the historic events of this year.

Dr. Nancy Wong, the Kohl’s Chair in Retail Innovation and Department Chair in Consumer Science, spoke on the future of consumer behavior alongside the Business School’s Dr. Evan Polman. Wong is a consumer psychologist who studies behavior.
